Watch Enterasys go head-on with Cisco

Enterasys takes on Cisco with its launch of NetFlow switches such as the S-series and its existing N-series, switches using Cisco's NetFlow v5 and v9 network protocol - These are both supported entirely free with no dedicated hardware modules, cards or license fees required.

The detailed story first covered by Brad Resse on his blog http://www.bradreese.com/blog/7-8-2010.htm

"Enterasys has a strong product range in security and networking, we believe it's a strong competitor by many means in those that are in those markets. We think that NetFlow which Enterasys provides at no add-on costs and ensures visibility and control over users, services, and applications is a major plus point for customers who favor NetFlow", says Freddie Lim, Product Manager, ACW Distribution.
